Child Therapist in YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter
YWCA Evansville is seeking applicants for a full-time, child therapist to work primarily Monday through Friday to develop and implement a program for housing children that provides age-appropriate activities, counseling, advocacy, and support services and to provide educational services regarding violence to area schools and community groups. Position provides an abuse-free and safe environment, referral services, safety education, and case management for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Scheduled hours will flex to meet the clients’ needs.
Candidate must embrace the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women and preferably possess a degree in social work or related field. Experience in a social service field and case management is required.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Master’s degree in social work preferred; experience working with women and children in crisis; case management skills; willing to actively participate with children; and good communication skills. Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team player, flexible, and possess a working knowledge of local agency resources. Ideal candidate will also exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, good organizational skills, and the ability to facilitate a client class. This position will work with diverse populations and interact with clients and staff in a sensitive, non-judgmental open-minded manner.

Support Advocate Overnight
YWCA Evansville is looking for a new part-time team member to add to its weekend staff to be a first-responder to crisis calls and walk-in clients. YWCA provides shelter and services to those fleeing domestic violence and their children as well as women seeking sobriety. Advocate will be cross-trained to assist in all housing programs. The ideal candidate will have prior customer service experience or experience working in an agency serving vulnerable populations. This position will work with diverse populations and interact with clients and staff in a sensitive, non-judgmental open-minded manner.
Candidate must support the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women, be highly dependable, and possess a strong work ethic. Please note that this is a part-time overnight position with working the hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday for a total of 32 hours per week. Rate of pay is $16 per hour. Additional hours may be available. We offer a sub incentive program providing bonus dollars for picking up extra shifts.

Shelter Quality Coordinator
YWCA Evansville is seeking applicants for a full-time, overnight shelter quality coordinator to work Tuesday through Saturday midnight to 8 a.m. Quality coordinator ensures data and client services are properly documented by completing weekly audits on the client files as well as gathering and entering any missing data. Strong computer skills are required, including experience with Excel. Ideal candidate will possess critical thinking skills in order to handle nightly crisis calls, determine if callers are appropriate for our shelter, address any needs that arise overnight, and ensure facility safety. Previous social work background is desired. The shift duties include maintaining inventory of food, hygiene items, etc.; restocking said items; and notifying appropriate point person of items that need to be ordered.
Additionally, staff member provides an abuse-free and safe environment, assistance with daily needs, and referrals for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Shelter quality coordinator will be cross-trained to assist in all housing programs.

Youth Program Assistant in Live Y’ers Program
YWCA Evansville is seeking applicants for a part-time Youth Program Assistant to work with the YWCA’s afterschool program for at-risk girls and mentoring program for middle school and high school students. This position is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Ideal candidate will possess knowledge of child development and curriculum planning with prior teaching experience; ability to work well with volunteers and with children from at-risk families. Candidate should also feel comfortable driving a 15-passenger van and possess a clean driving record.
