The YWCA's many programs are made possible by a network of over 150 volunteers and countless generous donors. These volunteers serve in various capacities from assisting with special events to mentoring at-risk girls.
If you are interested in donating time, talent, capital, or supplies to the YWCA, please contact us at 422-1191. A list of needed supplies and services can be found below.
The Domestic Violence Shelter needs volunteers to staff the Clothing Bank one day a week for a few hours, to inventory, sort clothes, and help clients choose items. Call Shelter Director Judy Thomas or e-mail
jthomas@ywcaevansville.org.
The Live Y'ers program needs after-school assistants for grade school girls at the YWCA on a day of your choice from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There are no special skills required--just the desire to help! New volunteers will always work with staff or seasoned volunteers. Mentors are also needed for middle school and high school girls for once-a-month lunches at the schools. If you are interested, please call Youth Program Director Courtney Edwards or e-mail
cedwards@ywcaevansville.org.
Grounds Maintenance help is always needed and can be scheduled on the day and
time of your choosing. You can even make this volunteer work a family
affair. Call Karen Brandon or email
